About
A for-charity zine centered around the relationship between Koby and Luffy in any way, shape, or form: romantic, platonic, or somewhere in between! Our theme is scrapbooking, pressed flowers, and sun-filled memories, but our contributors can take inspiration or stray from the theme as they please.

Favorite thing about Koby and Luffy:
First friend ever! They're rivals yet they're still buddies! I love that for them. They're so important to me. :)

Favorite thing about Koby and Luffy:
Koby is so head over heels it's adorable, and Luffy doesn't even notice. He just loves Koby his good friend Koby! And so I think they should kiss.

Favorite thing about Koby and Luffy:
Just how sweet and healthy and good they'd be. They're on opposite sides of a war and neither of them cares. Pairings that could be so angsty if it was literally any two other people.

Favorite thing about Koby and Luffy:
They're little guys in it <3 I'm not much of a shipper in general but I like to watch them go! And it's fun and easy to manipulate canon to back it up

Favorite thing about Koby and Luffy:
I adore both of Koby and Luffy's personalities and how they interact in canon, both separately and when together!! I'd love to watch how their relationship with each other goes in canon

FAQ
Will this zine be physical or digital?
We plan to release both physical and digital copies of the zine. Contributors will receive a free digital and physical copy (funds permitting), with all leftover proceeds going to charity. What charity will this zine’s profits be donated to?
TBD! We plan on letting our contributors submit and vote on a charity of their choice, which we’ll announce before the zine goes into production. Will there be merch?
Yes! We will be having digital merch! Physical merch is currently only a possibility for the future right now. Our theme is somewhat niche, so we’ll be focusing on covering the costs of the physical zine. We may consider adding merch options as stretch goals later on.Do I need any zine experience to apply?
We welcome all applicants, regardless of their experience level! How many contributors will you be accepting?
Depends on how many applications we receive, but probably around 20-25 page artists, along with around 5 writer and spot artist duos. Will explicit content be allowed?
No. We plan to keep this zine safe for work and at canon-typical levels of violence/sexuality. Pitches with explicit sexual content, moderate to extreme gore, and other sensitive content will not be accepted, but pieces with suggestive content or mild gore may be considered. May be subject to change. Can I draw/write about KobyLu friendship for this zine?
Yes, absolutely! We welcome shipping content, but pieces focusing on their platonic relationship are more than welcome as well. Friendship, romance, one-sided pining – it’s all fine! Can I ship another character or characters with Koby and Luffy?
Absolutely! As long as Koby and Luffy are the focus and everyone are consenting adults, ships involving more than our two focal characters are welcome. Put those boys in poly situations – we’re not gonna stop you!If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out on our social or retrospring!

Guidelines
[Subject to change]
General
- All applicants must be 16 or older at the time of applications.- Applicants should be familiar with One Piece, specifically with the characters of Koby and Luffy.- Applicants will be asked to have a Discord account as most communication will be conducted through Discord.- Applicants are more than welcome to apply for multiple roles, but will only be accepted for one!- No previous zine experience or large following is required to apply.
Artist Guidelines
-Artists should submit a portfolio of 3-5 finished works that highlight your range as an artist. Not all examples need backgrounds, but we want to see what you can do!
-Submitting at least one piece of One Piece fanart and especially pieces that feature Koby or Luffy is recommended but not required.
-Submissions will be evaluated on artistic quality, composition, anatomy, etc.
Writers Guidelines
-Writers should submit 3-5 samples of their writing that highlight their skills as an author.-Submitting at least one piece of One Piece fanfiction is strongly recommended. A piece that features Koby, Luffy, or both would be ideal, but anything that shows your knowledge of canon and ability to write and interpret One Piece characters is fine.-Samples should be 500-2000 words, and can be short pieces or excerpts from longer works! Examples of narrative fiction are preferred, due to the nature of our zine.-Submissions will be judged on grammar/spelling, technical skill, and especially the ability to portray compelling interactions between characters and develop their thoughts, characteristics, and motivations in interesting ways.
Merch Guidelines
-Please provide 3-5 samples of completed pieces that could be used for merch pieces. At least one piece should be a merch piece that is ready for production. Merch samples (physical or digital) are preferred but not required.-Submitting at least one piece of One Piece sample is strongly recommended. A piece that features Koby, Luffy, or both would be ideal.- Pieces will be evaluated on technical cleanliness (fits templates well or is a produced sample that works as intended), artistic quality, and appeal.
